Dr. Ebose Augustine Osegha is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Before his appointment in February, 2018, he was the Company’s Executive Director, Business Development and Marketing. He joined Anchor Insurance in January, 2017 from Standard Alliance Insurance Plc where he was General Manager/Divisional Head, Public Sector, Brokers Marketing and Emerging Markets.
He holds B.Sc (Hons.) degree in Economics, Delta State University, Abraka; MBA, University of Ado-Ekiti, Ado-Ekiti; Master’s in Business Administration, specialising in Management Research (M.Res. degree) from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom; Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Business Administration, specialising in Entrepreneurship and Small-Scale Business Management, Babcock University, Ilishan, Ogun State and another Ph.D (in view) in Strategic Marketing Management, Babcock University, Ilishan, Ogun State.
Dr. Ebose is a Member of the Governing Council, Nigerian Insurers’ Association where he serves as the Honourary Assistant Treasurer; Fellow, Chartered Institute of Administrators; Fellow, Institute of Chartered Administrators and Researchers of Nigeria; Member, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN); Institute of Directors; Ikoyi Club 1938 and NAICOM’s Publicity/Communication Sub-Committee, among others.
Mr. Adebisi Ikuomola is the Executive Director, Technical, of the company. He started his insurance career with Marine and General in 1989. He is a reference point in insurance technical functions, having worked with various organizations including Trustworld Insurance Company Limited, as Controller Technical before moving to Colenson Insurance Brokers as Deputy General Manager. He, thereafter, had a stint with A& G Insurance Company as Chief Technical Officer, gathering experience with multi-disciplinary background.
He holds an HND in Business Administration from Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic and MBA in Marketing, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. He is an Associate, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
Mr. Ime Umoh, a General Manager, is the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser. He is a long-standing Legal Practitioner with experience in legal research, corporate legal practice, insurance and financial services. He joined the Company in September 2004 from Nnedu Endeavours Nigeria Limited where he was the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser.
He holds a National Diploma in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic, Calabar, Cross River State; an LLB (Hons.) from the University of Uyo; a Master’s degree in Law (LL.M), University of Lagos and a Ph.D (in view), Private and Property Law, University of Lagos. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Nigeria and an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK.
Mr. Familugba Adetayo, a seasoned accountant and an experienced banker, is the General Manager, Treasury and Investment. He joined Anchor Insurance Company Limited in August 2018 from Standard Alliance Insurance Plc where he was Regional Accountant, North.
He commenced his working career with Wema Bank (formerly National Bank of Nigeria Limited) in December 2000. He later left in 2006 after six years of garnering cross-departmental banking experience for then Oceanic Bank International Plc, now EcoBank where he functioned in different capacities at the Reconciliation/Investigations and Trade Services Departments. He crossed over to the insurance sector in June 2012 when he joined Standard Alliance Insurance Plc as Treasurer.
Mr. Familugba holds a 2004 Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. A well-travelled Familugba Adetayo who came out in the third position nationwide in ICAN November 1999 examinations is a Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants and an Associate, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
Mr. Valentine Afegbai, a pedigreed goal-getter with not less than 15 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Marketing as well as Underwriting is our General Manager, Business Development. He further directly leads the Oil and Gas Team of the Company. He joined Anchor Insurance Company Limited in June 2018 from Standard Alliance Insurance Plc where he was the Unit Head, Energy and Special Risks.
He started his working career at Development Information Network, Lagos in 2001 as Assistant Programme Officer. He later joined Standard Alliance Insurance Plc in 2005 as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director. In 2009, he was moved to pioneer the Oil and Gas Unit in the company’s Technical Department. He subsequently became the Head of the Unit in 2012. As the Unit Head, he oversaw all Oil and Gas Underwriting, Claims Administration and Reinsurance of Oil and Gas businesses.
Mr. Afegbai holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Botany from Edo State University (now Ambrose Alli University), Ekpoma (1998) and in 2005, he obtained Master of Business Administration (Management) from the University of Calabar.
He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN) and Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Management.
He has attended various professional trainings locally and outside the shores.
Mr. Brown Ndifreke, an outstanding Chartered Accountant with professional experience in diverse roles, is our Financial Controller. He joined the Company in May, 2022 from Ned Global Network where he served in the same capacity up to the point of leaving.
Ndifreke commenced his working career with Access Bank Plc, Abuja in 2008 after his National Service in 2007 at Haruna Yahaya Chartered Accountants as Audit Trainee. He grew to become Head, Operations and Accounts at the Bank’s Port Harcourt Branch between 2012 and 2014. He left the Bank for Adland Project Nig. Ltd in 2014 as Finance Manager. In 2018, he moved to Benest Technical Services Ltd where he functioned as Senior Accountant before joining Ned Global Network in 2021 as Finance Controller.
An expert in cash forecasts, cash flow analysis, liquidity and cash management, risk management and policy compliance, building financial models, funding and investment management, among others, Mr. Brown Ndifreke holds an M.Sc degree in Finance, University of Lagos; B.Sc (Second Class Upper Division) in Finance and Banking, University of Port Harcourt and an HND in Accounting from the Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori.
Ndifreke who was, in his time, the Best Graduating Student of the Department of Finance and Banking, University of Port Harcourt, is an Associate Member of both the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria.
Mr. Nelson Egboboh, a Public Relations/brand management expert and an experienced journalist, is our Group Head, Corporate Services/Media. He joined the company in April, 2018 after ten years with Standard Alliance Insurance Plc where he was Head, Brand and Corporate Communications.
He was, at a time, Managing Director, Indexplus Marketing Solutions Limited, a sister-company to Standard Alliance Insurance Plc. Prior to moving to the insurance sector in June 2007, he had worked with The Guardian, Vanguard and was Founding Editor of The Union, a South-South regional newspaper then based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
He holds an ND, Mass Communication, Auchi Polytechnic; B.A (Hons.) Philosophy, Lagos State University; M.A, History & Diplomatic Studies, Lagos State University; M.A, Philosophy, University of Lagos; MBA, Advertising and Public Relations, ESUT Business School, Enugu and Ph.D (in view), Philosophy (specialising in African Socio-Political Philosophy), University of Lagos.
He is a Fellow, Institute of Brand Management Nigeria; Member, Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies and an Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, among others.
Mr. Bulama Mohammed is the Regional Manager, North with office in Gombe, Gombe State. He joined the Company in February, 2019 from Regency Alliance Insurance Plc where he was Regional Manager supervising the organisation’s operations in Kano, Gombe, Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States.
He commenced his working career in the nation’s insurance sector in August, 2003 as an Analyst with Industrial and General Insurance Plc at its Maiduguri office, Borno State. In January, 2006, he moved to NICON Insurance Plc in Maiduguri as a Sales Executive.
A restless Mohammed returned to his earlier Industrial and General Insurance Plc’s office as Supervisor in July, 2006. He later joined Standard Alliance Insurance Plc in January, 2008 as Area Manager, North-East, overseeing the company’s businesses in Borno, Bauchi, Adamawa and Gombe States. He did this for eight years before moving to Regency Alliance Insurance Plc as Regional Manager in January, 2016.
Bulama Mohammed holds a B.A (Hons.) in English and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Maiduguri. He further holds a Diploma in Computer Applications (Yaysib Computer Institute) and National Diploma in Civil Law (College of Legal and Islamic Studies).
He is a Member, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Loans and Risk Management of Nigeria respectively.
Mr. Chima Ekechi, an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria with over thirteen years post-qualification experience, is our Group Head, Technical. He joined the Company as a Marketer in November 2013 from the insurance brokerage sub-sector.
Ekechi boasts of professional experience which spans across the diverse sectors of insurance. He commenced his insurance career as a
Broker and later had a stint as a Loss Adjuster before moving to Anchor Insurance Company Limited, first as a Marketer and then as an Underwriter since 2015.
In recognition of his excellent performance of his Underwriting functions, he was appointed to take up the additional role of the Co-Ordinator, Branch Operations of the Company alongside his Supervisory responsibility of the Technical Division.
Mr. Chima Ekechi is an Insurance Graduate of Imo State University. He further holds the Màster of Business Administration (MBA) in Financial Management.
He has attended several local and international programmes on Aviation, Energy, Oil and Gas, General Business Underwriting, Claims and Reinsurance processes.
He is known for his unique charisma and remarkable aura which together enables him to interact positively across diverse groups of tasks and people without losing his essential values and orientations. others.
Mrs. Ifedolapo Akagbosu, a professional with extensive and deep experience in Compliance and Risk Management in Insurance, banking operations, customer service and accounting, is the Head of our Enterprise Risk Management. She joined us in August, 2022 from Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc.
She is a Compliance and Risk personnel with unique investigative skills and leadership ability for over ten years. She has delivered training and coaching on Risk Management, AML/CFT and Excellent Customer Service at various level of her career path thus supporting the attainment of the strategic corporate goals of organizations.
She had worked respectively with Independent Field Advertiser Nig. Ltd, a subsidiary of Clientele Life, South Africa Insurance Company before moving to Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc.
Mrs. Akagbosu is a Certified Risk Professional in ISO 31000 Risk Management in Geneva, Switzerland and Member, Chartered Institute of Insurance of Nigeria. She holds an MBA in Insurance and Risk Management, Ajayi Crowther University; Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the University of Calabar and Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State.
She has, at various times, attended both local and international trainings on leadership and Management in the course of her career.
Mr. Ediomo Ime, our Group Chief Internal Auditor, is a finance and audit professional with more than a decade of expertise in several practise areas which include internal audit, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll management, management accounting and taxation, among others.
He started his professional career as a Trainee Accountant at Inabuaye Omimi & Associates in 2012. He left for Flojonnie Nigeria Ltd in 2014 where he served as an Accountant and led the design and implementation of accounting structure and procedures as well as the internal control system. In 2016, he joined UTM Group as a Senior Accountant and was saddled with all accounting and tax duties until 2021 when he moved to Alerzo Limited as the Internal Audit Manager. Ime discharged his responsibilities with utmost professionalism as he successfully prepared and implemented the company’s cash flow/cash model for marine vessel lease to major multinational oil corporations and handled the application, renegotiation and restructuring of several multimillion-dollar loans in addition to settlement of tax disputes. He later joined Anchor Insurance in 2023 where he functions as the Group Chief Internal Auditor.
Mr. Ime holds a Master of Science in Accounting, University of Lagos (2023) and Bachelor of Science (Second Class Upper Honours), Accounting, (2012) from the University of Uyo. Akwa Ibom State.
He is an Associate Member, (ACA) Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Mr. Paul Emmanuel is the Company’s Group Human Resources/Administration Manager. He is well versed in human capital management and administration with not less than sixteen uninterrupted years of experience. He joined us in January 2021 from Olamsanyo Foods Limited (makers of Cherie Noodles) where he performed Senior Human Resources and Administration roles.
He started his working career with UACN Plc (Mr. Biggs and UAC Foods Limited) in 2002 as a Marketing IT Staff. He was later at different times Office Clerk, Supervisor
and Acting Staff Manager before he moved to Rumon Organisation (SKG Pharma and Avro Pharma) as Assistant Human Resources Manager in 2013. He left in 2014 for Olamsanyo Foods Limited as Senior Human resources/Administration before January 2021 when he joined us.
While he was with UACN Plc (Mr. Biggs and UAC Foods Limited), he won the Best HR Officer (2009), Best Overall Employee (2009) and Long Service (2012) awards respectively. At Rumon Organisation (SKG Pharma and Avro Pharma), he further proved himself and received Best Employee award in 2015.
He holds a Diploma in Computer Science (Lagos City Computer College, 2001); Diploma in Computer Engineering (Compute – Rite Professional Institute, 2003); B.Sc, Mass Communication (Lagos State University, 2010) and a Master’s degree in Mass Communication (University of Lagos, 2017).
